Helbling Venture Challenge Finals 2024
A unique event shaping the future of MedTech Helbling, in collaboration with Venturelab, launched the Helbling Venture Challenge, an accelerator designed to spotlight and support the most promising hardware and software – enabled startups on an international level. Focusing on Medtech, Diagnostics, Lab Systems, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in its inaugural year, this competition brings together Helbling’s 60-year legacy of bringing innovation to life and Venturelab’s mission to foster transformative tech solutions in the startup ecosystem.
On September 13, 2024, the first edition of the Helbling Venture Challenge culminated in an intense final round, where five groundbreaking startups – Resmonics, Incontalert, Earlysight, Rhovica, and Lighthousetech – competed for the top spot. The finalists, who had been selected from an impressive pool of applicants, presented their cutting-edge technologies and business strategies during a private session at Helbling’s Zurich headquarters. The afternoon finale, held at the Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel, brought these ideas to a wider audience, highlighting the innovation and potential within the Medtech scene.The winner of the day, Rhovica, impressed the jury with its bold approach and disruptive technology. As part of their prize, Rhovica will receive a consulting and development package worth CHF 25,000 from Helbling Technik, designed to accelerate their product development journey. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to leverage Helbling’s global offices in Switzerland, Boston, San Diego, or Munich, accessing both local and international expertise.
